Pyrrhotite Silver Pendants are designed and made in Perth WA, by artist Gillian O’Rourke. The Pyrrhotite is sourced directly from a mine near Norseman 720km east of Perth. Pyrite was occasionally used as a gemstone in the mid- to late-1800s, known as “marcasites.” The lockets come in silver with a brushed finish and are made from high grade stainless steel and come with a black choker.
Gillian’s has a love of art, especially the abstract form. She has been painting for most of her life and has held many exhibitions for her paintings around both rural and urban Western Australia. She has always had a passion to create, whether in art, or now jewellery.
